Physical Sun Protectants

These are natural minerals that work by creating a protective shield on the surface of the skin.  The minerals reflect the harmful UV rays off the skin, reducing the damaging effects from UVA and UVB rays.  There are only two forms of physical sun protectants available – Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide. 

Zinc Oxide

• Nearly insoluble in water
• Anti-microbial and healing properties
• Our formulations use a technology for transparent, large particle-size zinc

Titanium Dioxide

• Enhances stability against UV rays
• Reduces melanin synthesis
• Our formulations use a technology that reduces white residue left on the skin
